“Vitesse 8-Hour Sleep Effect” by Puig Research Center in Barcelona is the best face cream I’ve ever found. Smells great too.

Has anyone heard of it or seen it before?

There’s sort a mystery going on: I purchased this face cream at Rite Aid pharmacy on Guess Rd (at Horton Rd.) in Durham, NC in July 2007. Last winter (around December 2007), I went back to the same store to get some more - only to find that Rite Aid no longer carried it. I asked the manager about it, but he disavowed any knowledge of it ever having existed in his store!

I still look for it in every drug store I visit, but it’s never there.

Even weirder: I have done a thorough search on the Internet and cannot find it except for two listings on eBay - one from Metairie, LA (where I once lived) and one from North Carolina (where I live now). Coincidence? I don’t think so!

I cannot otherwise find one mention of it or locate a legitimate distributor. I also cannot find evidence that the Puig Research Center exists.

I’m afraid that one day I’ll come home and find that some secret agent ninjas from the government came and took away this empty jar that I keep holding onto. If they do, then no one will even believe me that the face cream ever existed!

I’ll feel like I’m trapped in my own crazy psyche… Like that movie, “Beautiful Mind”. Am I only imagining this face cream?

If you ever come across this face cream at any point (like if you go to Spain?), please please please buy me a jar and I’ll pay you back, okay?

Our plan is to make very simple, tasty meals that include at least one vegetable (organic and/or local whenever possible!) and which can be made in large quantity so we can take it for lunch the next day!

For tonight’s meal, we chopped up half a large onion, several cloves of garlic, yellow squash and red bell peppers. Sauteed them in olive oil, added salt, fresh ground pepper and dried basil. Then added seitan for high protein. Served over delicious brown rice with a dash of low sodium organic soy sauce!

As usual, Crystal is HOPPING MAD because conservatives are so hellbent on keeping women down.

All you have to do is read this New York Times Op Ed to see what I’m talking about.

People, give me one ACTUAL good reason that someone should vote Republican in this election. I just don’t see it.

1. Out of all the aspects of your life, your desk job is the least important but takes up the most time and brings you the least happiness.

2. You want to spend more time with your dogs and your family.

3. You want to launch your own business and work on it full time.

4. You want to put your true gifts and talents to work.

5. You need more breathing room. You want to make your own schedule and be your own boss.

6. You want (NEED!) more time for reading, writing, thinking, yoga and meditation.

7. Your desk job leads to tight shoulders, stomachaches and big, daily headaches.

8. You have an awesome family and spouse who are totally supportive of the idea.

9. You can pare down your expenses and live on less money.

10. The idea of doing it makes you want to squeal with happiness and then dance to Queen’s “I Want to Break Free”

Did you know that Durham county has its own Litter Investigator!?! Cool!

If you live in Durham and see someone littering, jot down any pertinent information (date, time, location, name of person if possible, license plate number if applicable, description of the incident, etc.) and call the Durham Litter Investigator at (919) 560-0437.

Anyone found dumping or littering will be prosecuted by the Durham County legal system.  The purpose is to keep Durham clean and beautiful. Go Durham!
